Touchdown Trevor

Happy Saturday everyone!

I wanted to play around this week with something a little different.  So I created this adorable Football MVP die cut set to go with High Hopes Touchdown Trevor image.

This is a 6 x 6 card so it was perfectly suited for this new die cut set.  My son played high school football, loved those days.  I did do those scrapbook pages up way back when but now I think I will be re-doing some of those.  Stay tuned for larger football die cuts for scrapbook pages.

Cindy's Garden

Hi Everyone;

Another week has gone by and Friday is here again.  It seems that the weather can't make up it's mind.  For a day or two is it spring like and then for the rest of the week it is winter back.   In spite of the weather, there is no reason why we can't think of flowers and gardens.

For today's card I have used Cindy's Garden and the sentiment Picket Fence Saying from High Hopes Stamps.   Instead of adding the sentiment to the front of the card, I finished the inside and added it there.

Sir Dustins Birthday

This week's card is all about knights and dragons and birthdays oh my!
"Sir Dustin" is ready to take on the world along with his dragon friend for back up of course!
These two are the perfect pair for a masculine, fairy tale, knight and dragon themed Birthday card or party invitation.

After colouring the stamp with alcohol markers I hand fussy cut it using an xacto knife and trusty maincure scissors. Next I set about designing my castle. Distress ink, a brick pattern stencil and grey card stock made this idea come together quite quickly. What didn't go quickly was cutting it down to size, and cutting the "castle top" - this took more then a few tries but I think I have something acceptable. For fun, I also added a "tower" that is actually curved so it pops off the page a little bit. I added some grass and tufts of grass and a light blue sky that actually has clouds in it from an embossing folder but they aren't showing up well.
Sir Dustin and his trusty dragon are added with 3D foam pop dots just for fun.
A bold Happy Birthday sentiment, a flag with it's own flag pole and some enamel dots finish off my card.

Happy St. Paddy's Day!

It’s Wednesday, and I'm back to share this adorable little Leprechaun who is happily sitting on his pot of gold. My grandmother was Irish and so I've been celebrating St. Patrick's Day since I was a little girl. My mom decorates the entire house with Shamrocks and Leprechauns each year to celebrate the occasion. LOL!

To create this card I used Lucky's Pot O' Gold - P030 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the main image and Fancy St. Paddy's - G147 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment.

I stamped the image and then used Copic markers to colour in the image. For the rainbow, I used a circle from the My Creative Time dies as a stencil and the chisel side of the markers. Once coloured, I mounted all of the various papers and layers onto 5.5" x 4.25" card base. The edges were inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Mowed Lawn.

Card Recipe:

Stamp: Lucky's Pot O' Gold - P030 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)
Sentiment: Fancy St. Paddy's - G147 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)
Inks: Memento - Tuxedo Black
Paper: Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card, Little Scraps of Heaven - Clover Paper, Hot Buy Craft Smart - Holiday Glitz Glitter Paper 12" x 12"
Die Cuts: My Creative Time - Scalloped Stitched Oval Dies, My Creative Time - More Stitched Circles
Tools: MISTI - Most Incredible Stamping Tool, Cuttlebug

Happy Tuesday!
Oh my gosh!!!! How cute is this robot?!! Isn't he just the perfect image for a young boys Birthday card! Meet the adorable High Hopes Stamp called "Robot with Cupcake". If your little guy loves robots, then check out the other adorable images HERE.
I coloured this cutie with my Copic Markers and then die cut the image and papers using the Gina Marie Venetian Labels die set. The High Hopes sentiment called "Transmitting Birthday Wishes" goes perfectly with the image theme. Lots of enamel dots finish off my card.
On my decorated inside I used another HH Sentiment called "It's Your Day"

Get Well Sign

Howdy - MichelleO here today and for High Hopes Stamps this week I found a bright and fun Get Well Soon image - we all need those cards to cheer up someone not feeling well... and this stamp is easy to color up and brighten someone's day with a smile.

This is "Get Well Sign"

I colored with my Copics (colors below) and pencils for shading to match up with papers from My Minds Eye papers. These papers have glitter on them, so they add a nice texture sparkle. I sewed layers together with a zig zag stitch and then die cut a flower shaped die with the same red pattern paper to make sure it all matches perfectly. The image is cut out with a circle die and then around the edge I used a Copic to create a faux mat with the image.

The bold bright colors are so cheerful don't you think? Perfect for a Get Well card -

Did someone say Spring?!

Happy Saturday!

I always find that February is such a blah kinda month.  So to brighten up my mood I created this bright card using these adorable images - Hoppy Flower Froggy & Pretty Butterfly which I paired with the Say Spring sentiment.

Shhhh don't tell anyone but I accidentally cutoff the little frilly part of the butterfly's antenna....couldn't figure out how to fix it lol.

I was gifted some awesome dies by Gina Marie Designs.....thank you my friend Donna!  I used the doubled stitched square ones for the image & the doubled stitched rectangle for the sentiment.  Gosh I may have found my new favorite dies!

I wasn't feeling patterned paper for this card so I pulled out the Distress Inks and created a little background.  I just tore up a piece of cardstock for the bottom & partially cut a scalloped edge with one of my Spellbinder dies.  I used those for making the background & for the sentiment as well.  I finished this card off with some Enamel Dots & Satin ribbon.
Distress Inks - Tumbled Glass, Shabby Shutters & Bundled Sage

Sending a Prayer

Hi Everyone;

Another week has gone by and Friday is here again. For today's card, I have used the English Rose from High Hopes Stamps.  This is a very versatile stamp which can even be used for those difficult occasions, which we never have enough of these type of cards in our stashes.

After stamping and colouring the image with copic markers, I used the Double Stitched Wavy Die from Gina Marie Designs to cut it out.  To keep the card CAS, I only used one piece of design paper along with a piece of lavender mulberry paper. I added a bit of water around the outside edges of the mulberry paper and tore a little bit off each edge.

Supplies used:
  • Stamps:  English Rose (L004), Sending a Prayer (G129) -- High Hopes Stamps
  • Ink:  Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Paper:  XPress It Blending Cardstock, DP - Lucy Cromwell (Papermania), Mulberry Paper - Lavendar

Tail Not Waggin'

Winter always brings lots of snow where I live and opportunity for numerous winter sports like skiing, snowboarding, and snowmobiling to name a few.
I did some snowmobiling as a kid but the whole skiing thing was not something I ever wanted to try.
"Troubled Travis" from High Hopes loves to downhill ski but today it seems something went wrong.. and honestly, I think this is what I would end up looking like if I tried to downhill ski!

I coloured Travis with alcohol markers and hand fussy cut him. I also stamped and coloured the skiis from the "Bearly Swooshin'" stamp and fussy cut them. Patterned paper from the Warm and Cozy pad from Echo Park were perfect to help me create my scene. Next I cut some pine trees and added a touch of Aleene's glitter snow and some snow banks - a perfect place to show the broken skiis. I stamped the sentiment and cut the "get well soon" portion off so I could put it at the bottom of the card. Some matching gumdrops finish off my card.

It's No Mystery!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I used Litte Sleuth - R205 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for my main image and No Mystery - H204 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps). This little sleuth has uncovered the clue to why he is so in love with his special someone. This card could be used for Valentine's Day, Anniversary or even a birthday!

To make the background for the card, I die cut multiple squares using My Creative Time - Stitched Squares Inside and Out in various brown cardstock and some white Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Cardstock.

For the brick background, I used Darice - Brick Wall Embossing Folder and then various Tim Holtz inks listed below to give the different colours for the texture.

I coloured in the main image with Copic markers and then fussy cut around it and used a black marker to go around all of the edges.

I layered all of the pieces together using 3M VHB - 2 sided tape to pop them up and then 2-sided tape to mount the final square onto the 6" x 6" card base.

To finish off the card, I used some brown twine and criss-crossed it to make a little bow and added in the question mark using some clear gems that I coloured with E23.

Card Recipe:

Stamp: Little Sleuth - R205  (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Sentiment: No Mystery - H204 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Purrr-ty Tweet!

Hello!
I'm popping in today with a card that would be perfect for Valentine's Day or to let someone know you think they are special! This image from High Hopes Stamps is called "Purrr-ty Tweet Kitty". I love that the sentiment comes with the image and how it wraps itself around the image.
When I saw this image my brains said..... red and black. Why I don't know lol, but I went with it, adding a bit of pink to match with the papers. This is a new die for me from Studio Katia called "Half Stripped Cover" and I put it to good use. After stamping and cutting my image out with a Gina Marie Double Roped Oval die, I set about colouring it with my Copic markers. I decided to use papers from the Echo Park "Be My Valentine" 6x6 collection and finished my card off with some Stickles (bow & flowers) and red gems.
Copics Used:
N3, N4, N5, N7, N8, N9
R24, R27, R29, R83, R85
G24, G28
B0000, B000, B00
