Snowman Hot Tub

                          Happy New Year......almost.....High Hopes Fans!

For today's post I used an older stamp from High Hopes called "Snow Yummy".
I had fun with this one ......especially coming up with a name for the card. I wanted to keep the card layout fairly simple on this one so this fun stamp would be the focus of the card.

I guess this is what snow people do to relax.....sit in a cup of hot chocolate...

I coloured up my stamp with alcohol markers, fussy cut it out adn popped him up with pop dots. The cup is paper pieced with paper from an older 6x6 pad of Bo Bunny paper. I also fussy cut the snowflake in the  - yes I am breaking in my new cuticle scissors with this one - and added a drop of silver moondust Nuvo crystal drops to the middle of it.
The sentiment is stamped directly on the snow hills - yes I held my breath and stamped lol.
Stitched snow hills were cut out using a die along with the fence. Some ribbon from my stash and some more Nuvo crystal drops finish off my card.

Merry Christmas!

 Merry Christmas High Hopes fans!
I'm back to share one last Christmas Tag with you today.

Created with the following High Hopes Stamps ...
&

I wanted to create a real sunny design, no traditional colours on this tag.
I really like this sentiment and thought it would be fun to add this tag to a hostess gift.
All the shopping, decorating and getting ready for the holidays is done! Now it's time to enjoy.
Don't worry, you've got this :)
So I tried to stick with citrus and a nice blue sky colour on this tag. Sewing stitches, cream acrylic paint and orange bakers twine for some sunny added details. I added some Christmas washi tape across the top of the image and a file tab that notes Merry Christmas too.The image is coloured with Copic Markers and also added touches of the acrylic paint to the image.
Thanks for peeking! I hope your able to put your feet up and relax this Christmas.  Remember to enjoy the time spent with Friends and Family.

All Hearts

Merry Christmas to our High Hopes Fans and all of my blog followers!

We celebrated Christmas with my family this past Sunday. It is always hard because I have a sister and brother and their families out West who weren't able to be here - but it is always fun to put a package together for them and race the mail to get it to them in time! <smile>

This stamp from High Hopes reminds me of my family and how all of our hearts come together at Christmas.

We all know our hearts are joined every day, but even more so at this time of year.

Meet "Homespun Hearts Snowy". I have also used the "All Hearts" sentiment both from High Hopes. I think this is a great winter stamp that could be used for winter cards too but I chose to use it for Christmas.

I coloured the snowman with alcohol markers and fussy cut him out. It is hard to see in the picture but I added a clear sparkle pen to all of the hearts.
A couple weeks ago I literally broke the scissors I use to fussy cut so I am breaking in a new pair. Next I cut a white circle and ran it through a snowflake embossing folder to create my background. I cut my patterned paper pieces and mounted them on cardstock. The sentiment is stamped and the hearts are coloured with alcohol makers. Some cotton lace and gumdrops finish off the card. The snowman was added at the end and he is popped up with pop dots.

Christmas Kitty

Gah! I can't believe it is Thursday already and only a couple weeks until Christmas!

I am in Christmas card making overdrive! My post today is my Besties Christmas card. She loves cats and has also had a crazy year so this older stamp from High Hopes called "Callie Christmas Kitty" is perfect for her card.

Cute Callie is coloured with alcohol markers and cut out with a stitched rectangle die. I am new to the flicking technique with my markers but I tried it on the tree branch. I need some more practice! I added silver wink of stella to the ornaments, some glitter ribbon and some holly and sparkly gumdrops. The candy canes were added to the bow for fun. My card layout is based on this month's challenge sketch (photo below).

Winter Wonderland With A Twist

                                 Happy Thursday High Hopes Fans!

Am I the only one who is working feverishly to get Christmas cards done?

I have a couple of pre-teen, early teen age nephews I have to make cards for......and on their wish lists are money and gift cards along with a ton of other things of course!

I didn't want to make a card and just stick a gift card inside so I did the layout below...........with a twist! I made a pocket inside to hold the gift card or money depending on what I decide to give.

Inside

As usual, I started by colouring my image with alcohol markers. I fussy cut Rudolph's scarf and added Stickles to the snow drops on the background paper and the trim on Santa's hat and suit. The image is fussy cut and put on a background of snow banks and die cut trees. The sentiment is stamped directly on to the snow. Rudolph's nose is coloured with a sparkly red marker which is hard to see in the photo.

Then, I grabbed my patterned paper and cut out the pieces I needed and stamped Santa for a second time on the part of the card my handwritten message will go.

Stamps: Reindeer Games (S108) - High Hopes Rubber Stamps
