Best Friends!

Happy Tuesday!
I don't know about you.....but I don't know what I would do without my friends!! These 2 remind me of my Bestie's and crafting buddies! Oh the fun (trouble LOL) we can get into! They always have my back and I love the support they have given to me over the years! This is the adorable High Hopes Stamps called "BFF Girls".
Today's papers are from the Echo Park "Coffee & Friends" 6x6 collection. Using alcohol friendly paper, I coloured these BFF's in with my Copic Markers, trying to match the colours in the papers.  Next I cut the image out with an MFT Stitched Rectangle die and popped it up with foam squares over the layout. I added some leaf sprigs for a bit of interest. I love this sentiment and have used it many times. It's from High Hopes as well and is called "Being A Friend".

Take a Tissue

Howdy - MichelleO here today - This week for High Hopes Stamps I found an image for a little get well card. This is "Take a Tissue"

My stash of get well cards has gotten really low - and with this sinus season hitting here I needed to color up some well wishes! And this guy is just too adorable and perfect to send as a pick me up. I colored with my copics. (colors below) and found some old K & Company K-Ology papers. I adore the color combo with these papers. I matted the image and sewed down the layers. The sentiment is also from High Hopes Stamps "Get Well Soon"  Now I accidentally punched my sentiment. Insert sad face here... but then I decided to just go with it! LOL I finished punching both sides and used it! Happy Accident?

For embellishment I added three white prima shimmer flowers with light pink brads. I had lost these flower forever in my "collection" of craft supplies. So happy I have found them I am loving them all over!

Hope this one will make someone feel better. Makes me smile.

Skateboarder Birthday

At the beginning of the year I gave myself a challenge. I want to make one birthday card a month so I'm not stuck - like I always am - making a birthday card the night before a birthday dinner. I all of a sudden realized that this is my last post for February and I haven't made a birthday card yet this month!

Since I have a number of teen and young adult nephews I decided that "Skateboarder Gabriel" would be perfect for a card for one of them.

I stamped my image on alcohol marker friendly paper, coloured him with Copic markers and hand fussy cut him. I set him aside and found paper from Honey Bee Stamps and My Favourite Things to create the background. Two polaroid dies helped frame the stamp. After cutting the polaroids I cut them again with patterned paper and used the Swirling Stars die from Tim Holtz to cut the stars out before gluing the inside of the polaroid die down.
Then, I cut some swirling stars from matching blue card stock and put them back into the die. The stars on the left were left over so I randomly placed them on this side. The sentiment was masked off from a larger sentiment, stamped, cut and put on matching card stock. The stamp was added on last and is popped up with foam pop dots. Enamel dots finish off my card.

Just A Note!

Hello!
Sometimes you just want to send a card to let someone know you are thinking of them or to say thanks. I love this little cutie called " Laydie Buggie's Brush" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps. She's really a very versatile stamp that can be used for so many occasions! I used it to send a Valentine's Day card to a friend.  Love when you can use a stamp more than one time!
To start, I stamped my image onto Copic friendly paper and coloured this "Lady Bug" to match the papers from the Echo Park "Jack and Jill Girl" 6x6 collection with my Copic Markers. I've had this collection of papers for a while and thought they were perfect for this card. Using my Brother Cut N Scan, I cut out the image and glued it onto the card base. Love the little MFT Scalloped border and matching enamel dots! I used the HH sentiment called "Just A Note" to finish off my design.

Birthday Bob

Howdy - MichelleO here today! We all need that fun Birthday Card for a guy right? High Hopes Stamps has some perfect images for a smile for the man in your life. This is Birthday Bob - I think he is just too fun.

Bob is colored with my Copics (colors below) and then those candles needed a little more fun so I added some Ranger's Yellow Glitter Stickles to the flames! The pattern papers are from My Mind's Eye Home collection, love how they all have some glitter to them as well. All the layers are sewn down on white card stock, then a border of another pattern paper from the collection punched out with an Extra Large leaves border punch.

The sentiment is also from High Hopes Stamps - Birthday Wishes -  love the fonts with this one. Punched it out with an EK Success punch and then did a faux mat with a Copic marker. An enamel dot to finish it off.

Fun, Silly, Guy card!

Brew-tiful Day

This week, I challenged myself to make a CAS (clean and simple) card. I chose a coffee theme well.... because I love coffee and so do a lot of my friends so I decided to try to combine the two things into a card for my just because stash. I love the gnomes and coffee themed stamps at High Hopes so I chose "Just Relaxin'" for this personal challenge.

I stamped the stamp on alcohol marker friendly paper, coloured him with Copic markers and hand fussy cut him. To create the clean and simple background, I cut a piece of white card stock using a rectangle die, centered the sentiment and stamped it. Next, I added some Marina Mist ink to the white space above the sentiment using a blending brush and to finish the card I glued down the stamped image.

Card Details

It's A Boy!

Happy Tuesday!
I'm continuing on with an image from the Sweet Baby Re-Release over at High Hopes  called "Crawling Baby Boy". Oh my gosh, I just love his little diaper bottom! I coloured him in a onesie but you could colour just the diaper if you want!
For my card today I chose papers from the Echo Park "Hello Baby Boy" 6x6 collection. I started by stamping  my image onto Copic friendly paper and coloured him in with my Copic Sketch markers. Using my Brother Cut N Scan, I cut this cutie out leaving a white border around him. I used a Pretty Pink Posh Scallop Frame and a Circle die to pop him up over. I love the little banner dies in the corner. The HH sentiment called "It's A Boy" is perfect for this card. A few enamel dots finish off my card!
Copics Used:
Skin: E00, E21, E95
Onesie: Bg11, BG53, BG57

Baby Giraffe

Howdy - MichelleO here today with another adorable Sweet Baby Release image from High Hopes Stamps. I adore this little giraffe. How can you not love a giraffe with heart spots? This is "Baby Giraffe

I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then went to look for "baby" printed paper... then ran across this vintage Nikki Sivils paper in my stash and fell in love with the bold fun print and felt it would work with the giraffe... Baby Bold Maybe? Lol and the retro feel was fun too!

Layering up the patterns and matting with black card stock. Punched out a Fiskars border punch in the black as well. I don't do that often but it works here right? Then sewed everything together with both straight and zig zag stitches.

A sentiment of "Precious Little One" also from High Hopes Stamps, punched with the EK Success Ticket punch, then matted with black card stock as well.

I may have gone a little bold for this baby card. But I think I like it... he he.

Precious Little One

I have always enjoyed when the little ones in my life get to the crawling stage. It is fun to watch them realize they can control where their hands and legs can go and when they get the co-ordination of crawling down there is no stopping them. It is always fun to watch this transformation and then when they figure out they can move things out of their way as they are crawling....look out! Toys, pacifiers, anything on the floor is quickly batted out of the way - you learn to duck pretty quick if you are on the floor with them!

The "Crawling Baby Girl" stamp in the "Sweet Baby" release at High Hopes brought back some fun memories for me which I tried to portray in my card. This little girl not only has crawling figured out but how to move things out of her way and she is having way too much fun!

After stamping this adorable little girl on alcohol marker friendly paper, I coloured her with Copic markers and hand fussy cut her. I found some paper from 3 different Honey Bee paper pads to help create my scene. The piece of striped paper was cut to be the wall paper and I cut a wood piece of paper to be the floor. An extra floor strip was cut to create a baseboard. The third piece of patterned paper was cut to be a border and added to the  top and bottom of the scene.
Next, I cut and assembled some block dies, a pacifier and since I had the Baby Border stamped from last week, I coloured the rattle up to match my card. The sentiment was stamped, cut and mounted on matching card stock. Some enamel dots and a bow finish off my scene.

Bath Time!

Hello!
February started a re-release over at High Hopes Rubber Stamps! Lora opened the vault and out came the "Sweet Baby" release. I'm so glad she did as the images are all just too cute! I'm playing with the "Baby Hedgehog" and "Precious Little One" sentiment. When my kids were little bath time was a favourite, and this stamp brings back so many wonderful memories!
To start, I stamped my image onto Copic friendly paper and coloured this Baby Hedgehog to match the papers from Doodlebug's "Bundle of Joy" 6x6 collection. Next using a Gina Marie "Pierced Big & Little Circle" die, I cut out the image, sentiment and designer paper. Now it was time to glue everything down and add the adorable ribbon across the bottom. I also added some polka dots to his washcloth with a white gel pen. Some enamel dots and glitter pen on the water and bubbles finish off my card.
Copics Used:
Hedgie: E30, E31, E33, E35, E37, R21
Tub; RV52, RV55
washcloth: YG01, YG03, YG05
Water and bubbles: BG0000, BG000, BG01

Two Peas in a Pod

Howdy - MichelleO here and I have to ask... have you seen the adorable Release at High Hopes Stamps - Fresh from Retirement the "Sweet Baby"  They are so cute you just want to pinch some cheeks! LOL

My first card I had to color up "Two Peas in a Pod" so so cute!

Just so adorable! I colored with my Copics (colors below) - then I found an old bling oval that I attached and cut out to fit. Found again my BoBunny Only You collection and loved the peach and green colors. I layered them up and sewed them down with a Fiskars scallop punch.

The sentiment is also from High Hopes Stamps "Like two peas in a pod" a perfect match for this image!

Copic colors used -

Now I "need" to run off and color up another adorable bundle! They are just so cute! Click HERE to pop over to the High Hopes Stamps Web Store and see them all!

Sweet Baby Boy

Happy February!!! High Hopes Rubber Stamps and the design team are excited to start this new month off with the "Sweet Baby Release" as we bring 8 stamps and 9 sentiments out of retirement!!

I am kicking off the release with this card featuring "Swaddled Baby Boy" - how cute is he?!? Be sure to pop by the website to see all the adorable stamps in this collection.

I stamped this cutie on alcohol marker friendly paper, coloured him with Copic markers and hand fussy cut him. Once the cutting was done, I ran a black marker around the edge to get any white I had missed. Next, I cut a piece of matching gingham paper and card stock to fit the A2 size base. I challenged myself to use an embossing folder this week - I always forget about them - and cut a piece of white card stock, put it in a polka dot embossing folder and ran it through my Big Kick. Once it was embossed, I added it to the top portion of my card.
I stamped and cut the sentiment with a fish tail banner die and added matching card stock to the tip.
Next, I stamped the Baby Border stamp and coloured the bear to match the stamp and hand fussy cut him. A card stock and embossed circle were perfect for a background for the stamp.
Both the baby boy stamp and the teddy bear are added with foam pop dots. It is hard to see in the photo but I added a touch of clear sparkle pen to the heart I added on to his blanket when I was colouring him. Ribbon and enamel dots finish off my card.
