Beautiful Day

As I am writing this post on Sunday, we have had a beautiful day. Nice and sunny - the wind is still cold but the sun is sooo warm and kind of makes up for the wind. Yesterday was cold and rainy and we didn't get in to plus temperatures. My dog likes the warmer weather and the sun. He loves to sit on the front porch and watch the world go by so as soon as the sun is out he thinks we should be out there. Still a little cold for that little buddy but those days are coming.

Instead I took him on an extra long walk today just like "Emilee and Lola" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps......although he does not go for a walk riding in a cute wagon. <wink>

I stamped on alcohol marker friendly paper, coloured the stamp with Copic markers and cut it out with a stitched rectangle die. Next I found some patterned paper from Honey Bee Stamps and cut it to fit my card 5.5" x 5.5" card base. I used a stitched scallop rectangle die to cut a piece of card stock to put behind the stamped image. Next I cut some patterned paper from Echo Park and Honey Bee Stamps with some fish tail banner dies and layered them to put under the image. I added a sheer ribbon down one side and stamped and cut the sentiment out with a circle die. Some enamel dots finish off my card.

Happy Panda!

 Howdy!
This little guy is just so happy! Look at that smile.....precious. Meet "Happy Panda" from the High Hopes Re-Release called "Thoughts of Spring and Friends".
My card todays follows along with my personal Challenge to use my Silhouette Cameo and make a Pop Up card for the month of March. I'm using the "Scallop Circle Easel Card" svg file to create my card base that stands or "pops up". I chose papers from the Bella Blvd. "Popsicle Panda" 6x8 collection today. After stamping my card onto Copic friendly paper, I coloured him in using my Copic Sketch Markers. Next using my Brother Cut N Scan, I cut him out leaving a white border. After assembling the card, I popped "Happy Panda" with some foam squares for added dimension.
The original file uses a brad to pop up the top card layer. I decided to use the sentiment called "Happy Thoughts", layered with 2 pieces of paper. This was thick enough that the top layer can still stand up.
Copics Used:
Panda: N0, N1, N6, N7, N9, R01, R20
Bamboo stalk: E42, E43, E44
Leaves: G28, YG03, YG17

Snuggles and Cuddles

Howdy - MichelleO here - Thoughts of Spring with Friends - love this group of image from High Hopes Stamps! Today I am coloring up "Snuggles and Cuddles" love this little Panda and baby!

Colored with Copics (colors below) and then cut out with an oval die. I found papers from Tilda Kitchengarden collection. Love the pink and green colors. The layers are sewn down with a zig zag stitch. Its all perfect to add some pretty pink mulberry flowers. Spring is here and I am loving lots of flowers! Some leaf punches added and a little Copic shading. Then for flower centers I added some brads.

For a sentiment I used the High Hopes Stamps "Happy Birthday Script"  punched out with the EK Success ticket punch.

This card makes me smile and feel the Spring Flowers!

Spring In The Air

Monday marked the first official day spring where I live. It was sunny for the first time in a long time but the rest of the week is snow and rain in the forecast. We usually get quite a bit of rain in the spring which my dog isn't a fan of. He has never liked getting wet but the thing that makes me giggle is that he will jump over a puddle or find a way to walk around it before he ever walks through it. He has always done this and every time it makes me giggle - it's the cutest little jump and it gets me every time.

We often get caught in random showers and down pours on our walks and that seems to be what has happened to Teddy and his family! At least they remembered to grab a cute umbrella so they can enjoy the rain shower and play in the puddles! Meet "Teddy's Family" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps - maybe they should meet my dog and show him how to enjoy the puddles <smile>

I stamped Teddy and his family on alcohol marker friendly paper, coloured them with Copic markers and cut them out with a square pleated lace die. Lawn Fawn patterned paper was a great match for the stamp and the spring feel I wanted for my card. I kept the layout and layers quite simple on this one to keep the focus on this adorable stamp. The sentiment was stamped using my Misti, cut and added to matching card stock. Some ribbon, a bow and enamel dots finish off my card.

Best Friends Forever!

Hello!
There is nothing cuter than a boy and his best friend.....his loyal companion! Meet "Orian And Whiskey" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps! This adorable image is from the Re-Release called "Thoughts of Spring With Friends". If you've been following along this month, then you know that I've challenged myself to use my Cameo and make a pop up card. I love this little scene and it lays flat for mailing.....perfect!
This file is from the Silhouette Design Store and is called "5x7 Grid Pop Up Card Butterfly". I cut the butterfly off and added my image to where it was instead. I stamped "Orian" onto Copic friendly paper and coloured him in with my Copic Sketch Markers. Next using my Brother Cut N Scan, I cut out the image. I inked all the edges of the papers with Distress Oxide Ink in "Gathered Twigs". After assembling the pop up card, I added Yellow Stickles to the flower centres. I love the sentiment called "Best Friends" for these cuties!
Here you can see the "grid" setup. I was really easy to put together and sooooo cute!

Here's a short video showing the card and how it folds flat.

Classy Clydesdale

Howdy - MichelleO here today!

Have you gone over and seen the Out of Retirement from High Hopes Stamps "Thoughts of Spring with Friends"? Loving getting to play with these images again! Love this pretty horse "Classy Clydesdale"

Pretty right? I loved coloring her with my Copics (colors below) I dug through my older papers and found some fun papers from Sassafras. I fell for those scallops made in the edge of the papers!

The layers are sewn down on dark brown card stock and then the sentiment from High Hopes Stamps "Raggedy's Birthday" Love the fun script! I punched out a piece of the pattern paper with an EK Success punch and then layered the sentiment.

Now we need some embellishment... Large oval rhinestones that's perfect!

Note From A Panda

Every once and awhile, I like to send a card to a friend or family member to let them know I am thinking about them or to thank them for something they have done and a whole host of other reasons. "Gentle Panda" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps just makes me smile right along with him and I think he is perfect for this type of card.

After stamping this cutie on alcohol marker friendly paper and colouring him with Copic markers, I hand fussy cut him leaving a thin white edge. I decided to do a clean and simple style card and I wanted to play with ink so, I cut a base piece of white card stock and a circle die. After centering and taping down the circle die, I selected some inks and brushes. Very carefully, I added the inks to the inside of the circle die in layers. Once that was done, I removed the die and used my Misti to stamp the sentiment. All of this was added to a simple piece of black card stock and voila! A clean and simple card that will hopefully bring a smile.

Dancing Hedgehogs!

 Happy Happy Tuesday!
Over at High Hopes Rubber Stamps the DT is celebrating the "Thoughts of Spring With Friends" re-release. I am continuing my personal challenge for March to use my Silhouette Cameo and make some sort of Pop Up card. These cuties called "Dancing Hedgehogs" are my inspiration for today's card.
My card base is a svg file called "Square Center Step Card" from the Silhouette Design Store. It folds flat for mailing so I consider it a "Pop Up"! I cut the card base out and then decorated it with papers from the Echo Park "A Perfect Autumn" 6x6 collection. Next I stamped the image onto Copic friendly paper and coloured these cuties in with my Copic Sketch markers. Using my Brother Cut N Scan, I cut the image out leaving a small white border. For a bit of fun, I popped these "Dancing Hedgehogs" up onto a wobble. Now when you touch it they look like they are dancing. I thought the HH sentiment called "Good Times" was perfect for these dancing critter.

Here's a video showing how the wobble works.

Foxy Knitter

Howdy - Michelle O here today and this week for High Hopes Stamps I had some fun working with a little Foxy Knitter -  another of the Thoughts of Spring with Friends release.

Cute little fox huh? I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then found some papers from Prima that complimented the colors of my fox. All my layers are sewn down with a zig zag stitch and straight stitch. Then I added a fun sentiment "Sending Hugs!" A favorite for lots of types of cards to friends. I punched it with a ticket punch and created a faux mat with a copic marker.

For some added embellishment, Those fun older Prima flowers came out again. the orange color was too perfect. With some Leaves punches it makes a perfect corner embellishment. Dots of Nuvo cream for the centers to finish them off.

I love how this one came out. Guess its cuz this little knitter is too cute. I think its her eyes... LOL

Pony Smiles

I love horses and ponies so when I saw the "My Pony" stamp in the "Thoughts of Spring With Friends" release  I knew I wanted to colour it! I had a horse for a number of years and when I got really stressed out or to "serious" he would do something - like pull a coffee cup out of the garbage and stand there with it in his mouth and bob his head up and down - to make me laugh.

He also loved little people and was the perfect horse to introduce my nieces and nephews to. They loved having a ride on him and would smile as big as the little girl on this stamp. So many great memories!

I stamped on alcohol marker friendly paper, coloured with Copic markers and cut the stamp out with a stitched rectangle die. The clouds were added by using a dauber around the edge of a cloud die cut.
I combined patterned paper from Craft Consortium and Honey Bee stamps to create the layers on the card, added them to card stock and glued them down. Some cotton lace ribbon was added before gluing down the layers. The sentiment was stamped and cut out with a circle die and matching card stock. A bow, wooden horse shoe and enamel dots finish off my card.

Bella Bear Camping!

 Happy Tuesday!
There's another Re-Release over at High Hopes Rubber Stamps! Lora has opened the vault and the "Thoughts Of Spring With Friends" has come out of retirement. Soooo many cuties, you just have to visit the website and take a little look see! This is the adorable "Bella Bear Camping" image! Looks like her map lead her to the right campsite! This month I've challenged myself to use my Silhouette Cameo and make some sort of pop up card. That poor machine just sits there and I seldom use it. I thought it was high time it got a little action.
To begin, I stamped my image onto Copic friendly paper and coloured Bella in with my Copic Sketch Markers. Then using my Brother Cut N Scan I cut out the image leaving a small white border. Next using a "Pop Up Hexagon Tent sag file, I set about cutting out all the parts to the card. This file is really easy to assemble and looks so cute with Bella in front of it. I thought the HH sentiment called "New Adventure" was perfect and added it to an inked edge cloud die cut.
Here's a side view where you can see the different layers pop into slits. I've used designer papers from the Doodlebug "Land That I Love" and "Puppy Love" 6x6 collections. The card folds flat for mailing and fits with my theme this month of Pop Up cards.
Here's a short video showing the card in action.
This pictures shows the card laying flat, perfect for mailing!

Hedgy in Tulip

Howdy - MichelleO here today -

Spring is coming! And this month for High Hopes Stamps there is a release all about it! "Thoughts of Spring with Friends" a group of our favorites out of retirement and release just in time to color up for the season!

For my card this week I chose to color up a real cutie - Hedgy in Tulip

So ready for all the colors and flowers aren't you? My image is colored with my Copics (colors below) and then I found some pattern papers that fit the theme. First Edition "Spring Fest" Love the soft pastel colors. I cut out the image with an oval die cut and matted with one of the pattern papers, found two more patterns that are sewn together with a fun zig zag stitch. For a band I used a Martha Stewart doily punch on both sides of a white card stock to create a faux piece of lace around the middle.

All put together and then added the High Hopes Stamps sentiment "Spring is in the Air" Love the font on this one! I punched it with a ticket punch and made a faux mat with a copic marker around the edge.

Needed more... so out came my Nuvo bright white and little dots around the oval mat, and in the corners. A little fun and a pop of bright white.

Are you ready for Spring? How about coloring up some spring with these wonderful High Hopes Stamps images ... HERE

Camping Adventures

The vault is open and the "Thoughts of Spring with Friends" release is out of retirement at High Hopes Rubber Stamps! This release has bears and hedgehogs, and kids with dogs and more! You can see the full release here

My first card with this release features "Buddy Bear Camping" and is inspired by my brother in law and nephews. Every time the opportunity presents itself, they are off on a new adventure - camping in the mountains - yes even in the winter, cross country skiing on a mountain edge on a trail barely wider than their skiis, hiking and so much more.  Sometimes they film their fun so we are literally on their adventures with them......like skiing on the edge of a mountain .... I could hardly watch! I think Buddy Bear Camping is perfect for a card for one of them and I will sit in the comfort of my home and wait for the next video sharing their adventures.

After stamping my image on alcohol marker friendly paper, I coloured it with Copic markers and hand fussy cut it.  I also did the same with the mountains stamp and added some Diamond Stickles to the peaks for the look of snow. Patterned paper from Carta Bella and Craft Consortium were perfect to help build my scene. I added die cut grass, trees, part of the mountains stamp and a cloud to the blue paper and then cut it out with a circle die. I cut a card stock circle to put behind it using my Fiskars circle cutter and glued them together. Next, I cut the striped paper to fit the 5" x 5" card base along with matching card stock. The sentiment was stamped with my Misti and added to matching card stock. After gluing the scene circle down, I added the sentiment and attached the coloured image with foam pop dots. Enamel dots finish off my card.
