Birthday Belle!

It’s Wednesday, and this week I'm sharing a CAS card featuring Birthday Belle - T076 from (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) with the sweet sentiment Bummer - H263 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps). Our birthday girl this week isn't too keen on having another birthday to remind her how old she is, but she is still having fun blowing out all of the candles. LOL! I decided to colour her outfit and cake pink, because I remember how much my grandmother loved that colour.

To create the card this week, I stamped the main image and then coloured it in with Copic Markers. My Creative Time -Stitched Squares Inside and Out die and my Cutttlebug were used to cut out the main coloured image and the hot pink background paper.

For the base card I cut some yellow cardstock 10" long by 5" high. It was then scored and folded in half to be 5" x 5". All of the edges for the base card and die-cuts were then inked around using the various Tim Holtz Distress inks listed below. I mounted the hot pink cardstock directly to the base using double-sided tape. Then the main image was popped up with 3M VHB - 2 sided tape. Finally, to finish it off, I used some crafty dots by Crafts.

Birthday Belle

Howdy - MichelleO here and this week I am sharing a card I made for a BFF from High School for her Birthday last week.

The High Hopes Image is "Birthday Belle" isn't she funny? Love all those candles! I colored with my Copics (colors below) She is too funny. I added yellow Ranger Stickles to the candles. And then Dimensional Glaze to the balloons.

The papers are from Me and My Big Ideas Fashion District collection. I sewed down the layers and added a Martha Stewart border punch. The  sentiment is also a great one from High Hopes "Growing Old is mandatory" is perfect.

Fun card that I hope she enjoyed. Made me giggle while making it for her.

Birthday Belle

Howdy - MichelleO here today and I need you to help me keep a secret here ok? This card is for my Mom's birthday tomorrow... hope it doesn't spoil the surprise for her it is mailed but she hasn't got it yet.

This is "Birthday Belle" from High Hopes. Love this lady and all her birthday candles.

I colored with my Copics, then added Rangers stickles to the candles and dimensional glaze to the balloons. Then I found papers from Kaisercraft Bonjour paper collection. Lots of layers and added a Martha Stewart heart border on the band of butterflies. I sewed down the layers on mats of brown card stock.

The sentiment is also from High Hopes  and love how funny it is. "Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional!"

Hello High Hopes Fans!

Kristine here with a fun birthday card perfect for your girlfriends of "that certain age"...

What age?  The age where we stare at the candles and think, "How in the heck did I get this OLD???"

I am that age so this image has been getting a workout lately!

It's called Birthday Belle.

I colored the image with my Tombow USA Recycled Colored pencils and blended with Glamsol.

The patterned paper is from Imaginisce "Hello Cupcake" paper pad.

The rhinestones are from Recollections (Michael's)

I know all the new releases are adorable and so exciting but if you haven't checked out some of the older images in the High Hopes store, you should because they are classic!
