Snowy Pine

Howdy - MichelleO here and today for High Hopes Stamps I made a card with a bit more serious feel to it. This is Snowy Pine

This tree stamp is a pretty image that I love all the snow and cool feeling of it. I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then added lots of Nuvo white paint for shiny ice cold snow. For my papers I went with a more calm simple feel. These are all from Basic Gray - old stash. I layered the papers and then did a Fiskars Border Punch for a band across the middle.

The sentiment "You are Always on my mind" is also from High Hopes Stamps and I love the sweet thought for a card.

All the layers are sewn down for the card. It is hard for me to keep things simple. I tried on this one, but slipped a little with that border, but I still like how it feels and love how the tree pops.

Thank You for Being a Friend

Hi Everyone;

Another year is over, and what better way to start a brand new year, with a new release from High Hopes StampsWinter Friends made its debut on Monday with Michelle's adorable Winter Pup.  Today, I have his friend Winter Kitty.  A total myth that pups and kittys don't get along.

After stamping Winter Kitty onto copic friendly paper, I coloured her with Copic Markers.  I cut the image out with an Oval Wonky Stitched Die.  I then added some Frosted Lace Stickles to the trim on Kitty's hat and scarf.  Some Glacier Jewels were added to the design paper, and enamel dots finished off this CAS card.

Supplies used:

  • Stamps:  Winter Kitty - SDG006, Being a Friend - FDG018 - both from High Hopes Stamps Winter Friends Release
  • Ink:  Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Paper:  XPress It Blending Cardstock; DP - Winter Wonderland - Doodlebug

Friends Are The Best

High Hopes Rubber Stamps and the design team are celebrating friends and friendship this month with the Winter Friends Release. It is full of adorable images and sentiments - perfect for sending a card to let someone know you are thinking about them. I know I couldn't have gotten through the last couple years without a little help from my peeps.

I have quite a few tags in my stamp collection but when I saw the Moose & Friends (TDG019) stamp in this release, I decided to challenge myself to use a tag stamp in a different way. Instead of stamping a sentiment in tag portion, I added a little scene just for something different and fun. This trio has spent the day in the outdoors and have shared some laughs and made some new friends!

I stamped this adorable group of friends and coloured them with Copic markers. Next I hand fussy cut them leaving a thin white edge, glued them to card stock and cut them again leaving a thin blue edge a little wider than the white edge. I set them aside and went through the papers in the My Favorite Winter pad from Echo Park until I found some I thought worked together with my stamp and colours. I cut the pieces for my card base along with matching card stock to create my layers and used a loopy oval die to cut out one piece to create some interest.

To create the scene inside the tag portion, I picked the blue snow flake paper, stamped the tag portion of the stamp and hand fussy cut it. Next I used a hills die to cut some snow banks for the tag as well as the rest of the background. I glued these pieced down and added some die cut trees and deer to finish off the scene.
The sentiment was stamped and cut out, added a fish tail piece underneath it and some enamel dots finish off my card.

Friendship Warms The Heart!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a card using Friends Snooze - TDG013 by High Hopes Rubber Stamps for the main image and Friendship - FDG023 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. Pop on over to High Hopes Rubber Stamps and see all of the wonderful new images as we celebrate our Winter Friends Release!

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of Hammermill - Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock, cut and scored to be 5.5" x 4.25".  I cut the background paper from American Crafts - Jack Frost to be the same size and attached it directly to the base using double-sided tape. Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Chipped Sapphire was used to ink around the outside of the card. Using my Cuttlebug, My Creative Time - Rectangle Frame Layers, My Creative Time - Rectangle Frame Dies, Gina Marie Designs - Nested Scalloped Stitched Rectangles, I die cut the Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card, Scrapbook.com - Peppermint Smooth Cardstock and Crafter's Companion - Luxury Cardstock - Ice Blue Pack. Using U-line double-sided tape, I popped up each of the layers onto the card base.

Using my MISTI and Memento - Tuxedo Black ink, I stamped the image onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card cardstock and the sentiment onto Recollections - White cardstock. I coloured in the image with Copic markers and then added some Stickles - Diamond to the parts of the snow to make it sparkly. Gelly Roll Sakura #5 Pen was used to create a starry night sky. I added U-line double-sided tape to the completed image and popped it up onto the card. The sentiment was die cut using my Cuttlebug and Poppystamps - Christmas Quotes. I inked around the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Chipped Sapphire and glued it onto the top of the image at an angle to complete the card.

This release has 13 new images and 13 sentiments! I love this cutie and thought I'd show you, you don't have to use winter themed papers to make a fun card!
To begin, I stamped my image onto some Copic friendly paper with Memento ink. Then I coloured it to match the papers from the Doodlebug "Down On The Farm" & "Buffalo Checked Woodgrain" 6x6 collections. I layered the papers with cardstock on my 5.5" square card and added a Spellbinder Lacey Circle die. A few enamel dots and some glitter pen on the snow finishes off my card.
I used the "Don't Worry" sentiment from High Hopes on my card today. Here you can also see how the image is popped up with foam squares for added dimension.

Winter Pup

Howdy - MichelleO here today and guess what... There is a release at High Hopes Stamps! Winter Friends! For my first card I just had to color up the "Winter Pup" ... too adorable!

This little one is so cute, I colored with Copics (colors below). And then I added lots of Nuvo glitter and white to the hat and scarf. I added those polka dots to match up with my pattern paper. Both patterns are from KasierCraft. The pieces are sewn down and then the image is die cut in an oval and inked with Ranger tea dye ink. I needed some sort of mat and went digging in my stash. Found a great large die that fit perfectly! A High Hopes Stamps sentiment "Friendship warms the heart"  it is punched out with a EK Success ticket punch. A Copic around the edges for a faux mat.

Copic colors used -
