Sparkle All The Way!!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a Christmas card using Snowbear Friends - TDG009 by High Hopes Rubber Stamps for the main image and Sparkle - FDG011 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. This month we are celebrating our new Woodland Winter Release at High Hopes Stamps.

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of Hammermill - Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock, cut and scored to be 5.5" x 4.25". I die cut Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card with my Cuttlebug and My Creative Time - Rectangle Frame Layers. With my MISTI and Memento - Tuxedo Black ink, I stamped the image onto the die cut and the sentiment onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card. I coloured the image in with Copic markers and added in the snow in the sky with Gelly Roll Sakura #10 Pen. I added in the tree decorations using a combination of Nuvo Crystal Drops: Red Berry, Dandelion Yellow and Carribean Dream. Pental Sunburst Metalic Med Gel Pen - Silver and Pental Sunburst Metalic Med Gel Pen - Gold were used to create stripes and colour in circles on the presents. Cosmic Shimmer Fluffy Stuff was applied to the brim of their hats and pom-poms and heat embossed with my Marvy Uchida - Embossing Heat Tool. A little bit of Stickles - Diamond was added onto top of the brims and pompoms to make them sparkly.  I added in the snow on the bottom using a spatula and Nuvo Glimmer Paste - Moonstone and let it dry. Once it was dry, I added in some Cosmic Shimmer Fluffy Stuff to give the snow a little more texture. This too, was heat embossed with my Marvy Uchida - Embossing Heat Tool. I adhered the image to the base card using double-sided tape and Stickles - Diamond was added to the top and side of the sign to complete the card.

Penguin Tag!

Happy Tuesday!
It's another exciting month over at High Hopes Rubber Stamps with the Woodland Winter Release. These are images that were previously retired and are so adorable, they just had to see the light of day again! Meet the adorable "Penguin Tag"! You all know I love penguins as they remind me of my Grandma. She would have loved to receive this tag on her Christmas present. You can use "Penguin Tag" as a tag or as an image on a card, it's perfect for both!
I started my tag by stamping the image onto some Copic friendly paper and using my Copic Sketch markers coloured it in. Next I cut the image out using my Brother Cut N Scan. I stamped the "Merry Christmas" sentiment onto the sign, it fit perfectly! Gina Marie has some really cool dies and I used the Arched Stitched Tag die to cut out my background. The snowflake is from a Christmas card I got last year that I repurposed on my tag. A green tree die cut was put behind my popped up image. I added Crystal Stickles to the Penguin's hat and a glitter pen to the embossed parts of the tree die cut. Using my Crop-a-dile Hole Punch I punched a hole in the top of the tag and added 2 strands of ribbon. Some diamond gem stones add the perfect finishing touch.
On the backside I hand printed "to" and "from" and I plan to use this on a present this Christmas.
Copics Used:
Penguin: C0, C6, C8, C9/ YR21, YR24
Blue: B02, B04, B05
Green: YG03, YG05, YG06
Red: R46, R85

Happy Holidays......

Hi Everyone:

Sneak peeks are awesome and such great teasers.  Who doesn't want to come back and see some more.  Yes, I have another "sneak peek" from High Hopes Stamps for today's card.

Yes, I did something different this time.   This stamp is called Penguin Tag and is meant to be a tag.  Instead of making it into a tag, I decided to make it into a card.  After stamping it on copic friendly paper, I coloured it Copic Markers and used the Peekabook Squares Die to cut it out, which was mounted onto some red mulberry paper.  A few dabs of the Zig Wink of Stella - Clear was added to the mulberries around the candy canes.  Some ribbon, Novo Glitter Drops - White Blizzard, Ribbon and enamel dots finished it off.

As this stamp is actually a tag, it can be used in multiple ways: -- a gift tag that can go with any type of present, gift bag, wine bag etc.  You get the idea................right multiple uses.  Yay

Supplies used:

  • Stamps:  Penguin Tag - SDG003, Happy Holidays - FDG003
  • Ink:  Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Paper:  XPress It Blending Cardstock; DP - North Pole Trading Co., - Photoplay, Mulberry Paper - Red
  • Copic Markers:
    • N8 - Neutral Gray No. 8, N7 - Neutral Gray No. 7, N6 - Neutral Gray No. 6
    • C0 - Cool Gray No. 0
    • YR30 - Macademia Nut, Y35 - Maize
    • G14 - Apple Green, G16 - Mistletoe
    • R46 - Strong Red, R29 - Lipstick Red, R27 - Cadmium Red
  • Die:  Peekaboo Squares - Gina Marie Designs
  • Zig WInk of Stella - Clear
  • Nuvo Glitter Drops - White Blizzard
  • Miscellaneous - Ribbon, Enamel Dots, Embellishment

North Pole Gift

Who loves sneak peeks?! I know I do and it is my pleasure to share a sneak peek of "North Pole Penguin" who will be available to purchase on Monday! This adorable penguin has some special gifts for Santa and Mrs. Claus so he is waiting for Santa at the North Pole to deliver them in person.

I can never have too many penguin themed Christmas cards - and I never seem to have enough it seems - but this cutie is perfect to add to my Christmas card stash. Don't forget to stop by the High Hopes Rubber Stamps blog on Monday to see the full Woodland Winter release.

I stamped this cutie with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on alcohol marker friendly paper and coloured him with Copic markers. After hand fussy cutting him leaving a thin white edge I set him aside. Next I gathered some patterned paper from Echo Park and cut the pieces of patterned paper and card stock to fit my 5.5" x 5.5" card base. Then I took a second piece of patterned paper and cut it out with a circle die, and used my Fiskars circle cutter to cut the card stock to go behind it.
I wanted something different for this design so I placed my coloured stamp on the circle and then once I had it where I wanted it, I set the stamped image aside, and marked a small line at the bottom of the circle and cut it off. I laid this cut circle on to the card stock circle and did the same thing. Next, I grabbed a wavy die to cut some snowbanks and an icicle border die to cut the icicles. I glued them down where I wanted them in the circles and cut the pieces off with scissors that were hanging off the edges. Then I added some icicles and snowbanks to the background patterned paper pieces as well.
I stamped and cut the sentiment, added my stamped image with foam pop dots and finished my card off with my favourite - enamel dots.

This is just a sneak peek to all of the wonderful images coming soon on Monday, December 6, 2022 as we celebrate our Woodland Winter Release for the month of December at High Hopes Stamps.

I coloured the image in with Copic markers and added in the snow in the sky with Gelly Roll Sakura #10 Pen. I combined Cosmic Shimmer Fluffy Stuff and WOW! Embossing Glitter - White Puff Twinkle for their hats and pom-poms and heat embossed them with my Marvy Uchida - Embossing Heat Tool. I added in the snow on the bottom with Cosmic Shimmer Fluffy Stuff and Sprinkled some WOW! Sparkling Snow Embossing Glitter on as well after using a Ranger - Emboss It Pen Clear in spots. This too, was heat embossed with my Marvy Uchida - Embossing Heat Tool. Lastly, I added in some Stickles - Diamond for snow as well. I love sparkle. LOL! Using double-sided tape, I adhered the finished scene to the base card. I rounded the sentiment with a 1/4" rounder on the top and cut the 2 bottoms at a diagonal.
