Feel Better Soon!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a card using High Hopes Rubber Stamps Nurse Elizabeth Jo - Q007  for the main image, Speedy Recovery Background - U004 for the background and Calling The Doctor- G211 for the sentiment. We have a lot of nurses in our family and we appreciate all of the hard work they do, especially during these tough times.

I made this a pop-up card with the sentiment.

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of Hammermill - Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock, cut to 11" x 4.25". I scored this at 2.25" and 5.5". With my MISTI and Memento - Tuxedo Black ink, I stamped the images and sentiment onto the Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card cardstock. Using my Cuttlebug and My Creative Time - Rectangle Frame Layers, I die cut the background. I coloured in the background and the nurse with Copic markers. Once this was done, I fussy cut around the nurse. I cut around the sentiment with my cutter and then chopped off the corners with my 3/8" We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper. Using Scrapbook.com - Brights Smooth Cardstock, I attached 1 piece to the bottom half of my card base and cut the other piece to the size of 3.25" x 1.5". For the small piece, I used the same corner chomper.

The card was now ready for assembly. I applied the coloured background directly to the base colour. The nurse image was popped up onto the card using U-Line double-sided tape. I popped up the sentiment onto the smaller pink background with a single application of U-Line double-sided tape and popped up the pink background with 2 layers of U-Line double-sided tape. This was added to the bottom part of the card.

Good morning High Hopes Friends,

I can't believe the month is gone already and next Sunday is Easter!

 Today I'm back with another GET WELL card using "Sick Ollie" from High Hopes Stamps

Supplies List; 6X6 cardstock pad called Canvas for my base, them I layered with a piece of red cardstock. I used light brown distress ink around the edges for dimension.  As a finishing touch, I doddle some lines with a white pen, diamond stickles and glossy accent.

Feeling Up To Par!!!

 It’s Wednesday, and this week I'm sharing a Get Well Card featuring Golfer Glen - T084 from (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) paired with the sentiment Up To Par - G257 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps). It's always hard to find Get Well Cards for men, and I thought the pairing of these 2 stamps went so well together.

To create the card this week, I die cut Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my Cuttlebug and My Creative Time - Rectangle Frame Dies. Then, I stamped the image and sentiment using my MISTI and Memento - Tuxedo Black ink. The image was then coloured in with Copic Markers. I stamped the image again onto Post-It Note paper and used it as a mask. Then, I applied the clouds using Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Salty Ocean and cloud stencils I made from Avery Elle - PiercedCloudsDie and Whimsy Stamps - Grass and Cloud Edger Die Set. Then I used some washi tape to mask the main image border and inked around it using Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Salty Ocean.

The card was now ready to assemble, I attached the coloured image to a card base made from Hammermill - Premium Colour 100 lb. paper, folded to 5.5" x 4.25".

Speedy Recovery!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I used Walker Walter - TLF013 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) from the new release for the main image and Speedy Recovery Background - U004 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. I have an older friend in the hospital right now waiting to have an operation and I thought this little card would definitely cheer him up.

To make my card this week, I used Recollections - Cape Cod cardstock for the base card which is 4.25" x 5.5". I stamped both the large background image and Walter using my Misti and Memento - Tuxedo Black ink.

Then I ran the background image through my Cuttlebug using Your Next Stamp - Stitched Rectangle Die Set to die cut it.

Both images were coloured using Copic Markers. I edged around the background image and card base with Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Blueprint Sketch. I used my Brother Scan and Cut to cut around "Walker Walter" and then outlined the image with Copic Markers C3 and C1. Next, I ran the image through my Xyron Creative Station and adhered it to some Black cardstock. I again used the Scan and Cut to cut around the image. I thought the border was too large, so I just manually fussy cut around the image leaving a smaller black border around it.

To complete the card, I bumped up both the background and the main image with 3M VHB - 2 sided tape.

Rainy Day Smiles

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I used Mary Angel - Q020 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the main image and Rainy Rainy Day - H048 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps) for the sentiment. We are in for a lot of rain in the next little while here, but Mary is well prepared for it with her adorable little boots and is ready to play in the puddles. Did you love playing in the puddles with your rain boots when you were little too?

To make my card this week, I started off with a card base of 6" x 6". I used Forever in Time - Splish Splash paper for the background as I thought it went so well with this image. The background paper is double-sided and I loved how well it went together to frame the image and sentiment. I stamped the image onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card and then coloured the image in with Copic Markers. Once it was coloured in, I fussy cut around it and used B01 to fill in all of the white space as it matched the background paper so well. For the sentiment, I thought it would be cute to turn it into an umbrella as well. To do this, I stamped the sentiment and then drew an umbrella shape around it. I used a scrap piece of copic paper and drew the handle for it and then coloured it and cut it out as well. To finish off the card, I popped up the image and the sentiment with 3M VHB - 2 sided tape and added some Ranger Inkssentials - Glossy Accents onto the water and droplets, Gelly Roll Stardust - Clear to the wings, Mary's umbrella and pockets on the raincoat. Unfortunately, the glitter isn't showing up in the picture.
