August 2020 Release!

Welcome!

Today is the start of the August 2020 Release over at High Hopes Stamp! I know you're just as excited about this as I am! I mean we just had a release last month and now another one...... it just doesn't get better than this! I'm the lucky one to kick off the New Release using the oh so adorable "Butterfly Chick"! This is just the sweetest little chick ever!

I stamped this "Butterfly Chick" onto Copic friendly paper and used my Copic Sketch Markers to colour it in. I chose papers from the C.C. Designs "Hearts and Dots" and Sunny Studios "Gingham Pastels" 6x6 collections. The "Smiling" sentiment is one of my favourite High Hopes sentiments. Perfect for so many different cards! I used a few different dies to create this layout and added a bit of twine to finish it off!

Smiling

This spring I had a pair of cardinals move in to one of the trees at the corner of my front porch. They have since moved on but not before having some little ones. It was fun to sit quietly on my porch and watch mom and dad fly back and forth with food for their family.
When I saw the "Cardinal" in the new release at High Hopes Rubber Stamps I knew I had to colour it up - they are such beautiful birds! They say "when a cardinal appears, a loved one is near" so I'm not sure moved in this spring but I silently smiled every time I saw one of them.

After colouring this beauty with alcohol markers, I cut it out using a circle die and used my Fiskars circle cutter to cut a matching cardstock backing. I set that aside and chose some patterned paper from Stampin' Up to match the coral flowers. Next I stamped the sentiment and cut it out using a fish tail banner die. A few added branches, cotton lace ribbon and enamel dots finish off my card.

Let's Play In the Leaves!

Hi HH Fans!
Have you visited the High Hopes Blog yet for some Fall themed inspiration? The Design team is creating Fall themed cards for August and my card follows along with the theme! This is the cute High Hopes image called "Fall Joy".

I coloured the "Fall Joy" image with my Copic Sketch Markers and then cut it out with the Gina Marie Loopy Oval dies. I decided to ink all the edges of my papers from the Doodlebug "Fall Friends" collection with Vintage Photo Distress Ink for a bit of added dimension. Some YNS Matte Gumdrops finish off my card.

On the decorated inside I am using the High Hopes "Smiling" sentiment.

Ally Rose!

Hi HH Fans!

Today I am sharing with you the super cute "Ally Rose" from High Hopes Stamps. She is just so adorable and is in a sitting position so you can add her to whatever you want. I've used her on a fence before but today she is sitting the HH "Blossom Tree Branch" stamp.

I started by stamping her on some Copic XPress-It paper. Then I stamped her onto a Post-It note and fussy cute the image out. Then I put the Post-It note over the image and stamped the tree branch. This makes Ally Rose look like she is sitting on the branch. Then off you go to colour and finish your card.
