Just Chick-en In!

Hello!
Oh my gosh, I'm loving all the new stamps over at High Hopes from the new "This & That" release!
This cutie is called "Chicken Stack" and I paired it with the "What the Flock" sentiment.
After stamping the "Chicken Stack" onto Copic Friendly paper, I coloured it in using my Copic Sketch markers. Taking a Gina Marie "Pleated lace" rectangle die, I cut out the adorable image. I'm using papers from the Doodlebug "Down on the Farm" 6x6 collection. I  love the High Hopes sentiment "What the Flock", it just makes me giggle! A few enamel dots and my card is finished!!
I decided to decorate the inside of my card this time and used the HH sentiment called "Just Chick-en In".

Wingin' It Duck

Howdy - MichelleO here today -

Sometimes you just need a little silly! And this adorable little duck from High Hopes Stamps "Wingin' It Duck" is the perfect image to have a little silly and send a smile !

He is colored with Copics (colors below) and then found pattern papers from Fancy Pants Office Suite. Love the fun flowers! I sewed down the papers with both a zig zag and straight stitch. Then stamped the High Hopes Stamps "You Quack Me Up!" and created a border with it and a Fiskars border punch. First time I have created the punch with a black card stock, but it really does pop. I think I like it. And I love the fun feeling of this card. Seriously how can you not love a duck standing on one wing?

Hi Everyone;

Another month has gone by and March is here, bringing with it a brand new release from High Hopes Stamps called "This & That".

Chick-en In

When I was younger my Grandpa had a farm which included a barn full of chickens. I can't say it was my favourite place on the farm - it was soooo noisy! but helping with chores meant we got some fresh eggs to take home - yummy!

The "Chicken Flock" stamp from the new "This & That" release at High Hopes Rubber Stamps brings back some fond memories of helping my Grandpa and Dad with the chores. It also brought out the giggles in me. While I was colouring this stamp I had to stop numerous times because I had quite a few giggle fits. This flock of chickens matched with the new "Just Chick-en In" sentiment helped me create a fun card that I can send someone to "check in" with them and hopefully bring a smile.

I stamped this hilarious flock of chickens on alcohol marker friendly paper and coloured it with Copic markers. Next I hand fussy cut it leaving a thin white edge. I had some patterned paper from an old Stampin' Up pad that I thought went will with my "farm and chicken" theme. After cutting the paper to fit my A2 size card base, I cut out an oval in the middle of the paper so the card stock would show through and it gave me an egg shape on the card. Next I stamped my sentiment, mounted it on matching card stock and added it to the twine I put across the bottom. Some die cut corners and glitter dots finish off my card.

Just Hoppin By!!

It’s Wednesday, and this week, I made a card using High Hopes Rubber Stamps Mr. Frog - SLF037  for the image and Just Hoppin' - FLL030  for the sentiment. There are so many wonderful new stamps for our New Spring Release called "This and That" at High Hopes Rubber Stamps and Mr. Frog couldn't wait to welcome all of you to go and see!

To make my card this week, I began with a card base of Hammermill - Premium Colour 100 lb. cardstock, cut and scored to be 5.5" x 4.25". I cut Forever In Time - Glam Glitter Cardstock - Ombre Brights to be the same size as the base and adhered it with double-sided tape. Using my Cuttlebug, multiple scraps of cardstock, Recollections - Black cardstock and Forever In Time - Glam Glitter Cardstock - Ombre Brights, I cut out all of the pieces for the background using Lawn Fawn - Bayou Backdrop die set. I glued all of the little leaves onto the vines and then using 3 layers around all of the outside edges with U-Line double-sided tape, I popped up the background onto the base. I popped up the pond to the background as well after applying U-Line double-sided tape. I used some spare Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card and created a boulder for the frog to sit on which I put into the middle of the pond. This was also popped up. I stamped the image and sentiment onto Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card using my MISTI and Memento - Tuxedo Black. The image was coloured in with Copic Markers and then I fussy cut around it and the sentiment. Using a black marker, I inked around all of the edges of the frog. I ran the sentiment through my Xyron Create a Sticker and placed it onto some scrap Recollections - Black cardstock. Once again, I fussy cut around it. I applied multiple layers of U-Line double-sided tape to the back of the image and sentiment and applied them both to the card to finish it off.

Card Recipe:

Stamps: Mr. Frog - SLF037 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Sentiment: Just Hoppin' - FLL030 (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)

Inks: Memento - Tuxedo Black

Paper: Copic Marker X-Press It Blending Card, Hammermill - Premium Colour 100 lb., Forever In Time - Glam Glitter Cardstock - Ombre Brights, Recollections - Black cardstock

Die Cuts: Lawn Fawn - Bayou Backdrop

Tools: MISTI - Most Incredible Stamping Tool, U-Line double-sided tape, Cuttlebug, Xyron Create a Sticker

Frog: YG17, YG06, YG03, YG01, BG99, E81, C1, E27, E25, E23
